What is SELF Enterprise?
The purpose of SELF Enterprise is to enable our Clients, typically other organisations, to customise SELF and enhance digital experiences for their Users. This process allows these organisations to tailor SELF's personality traits and reference data sets to meet their specific needs. In essence, customising personality traits means providing SELF with an understanding of the industry it operates in and the purpose it serves. Below is an overview of the SELF Enterprise architecture and a brief description of each of the 8 steps.
1. The Client administrator configures the personality traits of their Enterprise version of SELF. For example, what the AI knows itself to be, the Client's company information, how the Client's AI addresses users, etc. The Client also uploads data that is relevant to the Users (if the User isn't the Client alone). For example, expertise, products, services, important dates, etc.
2. A User could be in any context - the Client directly, or a /customer of the Client. Either way, the User then interacts with the Client's Enterprise version of SELF via a chatbot-style interface, sending a query to the system. User data is stored privately, persistently, and progressively added to by what the User inputs.
3. In the background, the Enterprise version of SELF processes the input by taking all known data that could be relevant to it and creating a more contextually full query if possible.
4. The query is then anonymised by Enterprise version of SELF.
5. The query is sent out via various APIs on the Internet, depending on the type of query.
6. The result is then de-anonymised by SELF.
7. The result is crossmatched against all known data that could be relevant to it and creates a more contextually relevant result if possible.
8. The result is then sent into the private user interface and displayed to the user, whilst being added to the private user generated data set.
What is the onboarding process?
The process begins when a Client recognises the value SELF could bring to their business. An Enterprise account manager from SELF then assists the company in onboarding.
1. This starts with a discovery phase, where discussions and workshops are held to explore how SELF can be adjusted and customised.
2. Following the discovery phase, we enter the configuration phase, where we implement the necessary adjustments.
3. After configuration, the integration phase begins, where the newly customised version of SELF is integrated into the Client's existing platform(s). This integration is part of what is discussed during discovery and executed during configuration.
What are the primary benefits of SELF Enterprise for businesses?
Licensing SELF Enterprise offers significant advantages for businesses. Firstly, it eliminates the need for Clients to develop their own customisable AI assistant and lifestyle filter, providing a cost-effective alternative. With SELF Enterprise, Clients can quickly integrate advanced technology without the extensive time and resources required to build it from scratch.
Secondly, the rapid implementation of SELF allows Clients to gain a competitive edge by offering unique features and differentiation in their market. This swift deployment not only enhances their value proposition but also provides additional benefits to their users, setting them apart from competitors who have yet to adopt such innovative AI solutions.
How customisable is SELF Enterprise? Can Clients request or add their own features or branding elements?
SELF Enterprise offers extensive customisation options, allowing Clients to tailor the product to their specific needs. Key customisable elements include branding and personality. Currently, SELF's default personality is designed to serve users by listening to their preferences and accessing the Internet. However, this can be adapted to suit different contexts. For example, a healthcare provider might customise SELF to reference a set of pre-programmed medical expertise, altering both the personality and the reference framework.
Additionally, businesses can customise where SELF is integrated within their services. Currently, SELF is part of the app domain, however, Enterprise Clients have the flexibility to integrate their Enterprise version of SELF into various platforms, such as a retail shop front, their customer support help centre, or other areas of their website. This level of customisation ensures that SELF can be seamlessly incorporated into a business's existing infrastructure, enhancing user experience and aligning with brand identity.
How does SELF Enterprise ensure the security and privacy of User data?
SELF Enterprise is designed to ensure the highest standards of security and privacy for User data. The configuration of encrypted storage remains consistent with the standard SELF setup, ensuring no difference in security between the Enterprise and consumer versions.
To maintain these standards, SELF handles the setup of the Enterprise instance for the Client, configuring it within a secure data centre. This approach prevents Clients from inadvertently using the technology in a less secure or private manner. However, if a Client has an alternative and satisfactory solution, SELF can accommodate on a case-by-case basis. While we manage the initial configuration, we also offer flexibility by integrating the Enterprise version into the Client's desired platform, ensuring it meets their specific needs while maintaining robust security protocols.
How long does the Enterprise process take?
The duration of the process for SELF Enterprise is influenced by several phases, each contributing to the overall timeline. Initially, the discovery phase plays a crucial role in determining the length of subsequent phases, such as configuration and integration. In a straightforward scenario, the entire process from design to completion typically spans four to five months. However, to set a realistic expectation, we aim to complete the integration of the Enterprise version of SELF within six months. This timeline serves as a target, acknowledging that the specifics of the discovery phase can significantly impact the complexity and duration of the configuration and integration phases. Therefore, while we strive for a six-month completion, the actual timeline may vary based on the unique requirements identified during the discovery phase.
What are the common challenges businesses face during the licensing process, and how does SELF help to overcome them?
During the licensing process, Clients may encounter several challenges, and SELF is designed to help overcome these effectively.
Firstly, there is an educational challenge. Clients need to understand the distinction between a large language model AI and what SELF offers. Many Clients initially view our technology through the lens of systems like ChatGPT, which can lead to misconceptions. SELF is not just another AI; it is a lifestyle filter, a new category in technology, distinct from traditional AI. We focus on educating clients about these differences to ensure they fully grasp the unique benefits SELF provides.
Secondly, businesses must identify where SELF can add the most value for their Users. It's crucial to approach this from a utility perspective, ensuring that the technology is not just implemented for its novelty but for its tangible benefits to users. SELF assists Clients in pinpointing these areas to maximise user value.
Lastly, there is the challenge of developing a commercial model that covers the cost of licensing SELF while remaining cost-effective. We work closely with Clients to explore and establish viable commercial strategies that align with their financial goals and the value SELF delivers.
By addressing these challenges, SELF ensures a smoother licensing process and helps Clients leverage the full potential of our innovative technology.
What kind of businesses or industries are best suited for SELF Enterprise?
SELF is ideally suited for businesses that have a significant portion of their customer interactions occurring online. Industries where customer engagement is primarily digital, such as e-commerce, online services, and digital marketing, can greatly benefit from SELF Enterprise. Even businesses traditionally seen as offline, like automotive services or real estate agencies, are increasingly incorporating online elements such as booking systems and digital brochures, making SELF Enterprise applicable to them as well.
SELF excels in environments with high-volume customer interactions, where customers frequently ask questions or where the company seeks to gather extensive insights from customer interactions. It can be utilised by the end users, enhancing customer service experiences, or by the Enterprise itself for in-depth data analysis and research.
For instance, a company can use SELF to analyse customer data, gaining valuable insights into customer behaviour and preferences. Simultaneously, it can enhance customer interactions by providing efficient and responsive support through digital channels. This dual capability makes SELF Enterprise a versatile tool for businesses aiming to optimise both customer engagement and internal analytics.
How does SELF Enterprise align with a Client's overall digital strategy?
SELF Enterprise aligns seamlessly with a Client's overall digital strategy by acting as a versatile tool that can be tailored to meet specific strategic objectives. For instance, if a Client's digital strategy aims to enhance customer engagement, SELF can facilitate a closer relationship between the Client and its customers by personalising and enhancing digital interactions. In this scenario, the Client and the customer are both Users of the Enterprise version of SELF, in different contexts.
Similarly, if the strategic objective is to reduce the time between customer inquiries and solutions, SELF can streamline processes, thereby shortening the sales cycle and improving customer delivery times.
The adaptability of SELF means it can be integrated into a wide array of digital strategic objectives, providing value based on the specific goals of the company. By leveraging SELF, businesses can ensure their digital strategies are not only effective but also aligned with their overarching objectives, enhancing both customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
What are the pricing models available?
SELF Enterprise offers a structured pricing model that caters to different business needs.
Development Costs (CapEx): The initial phase involves a capital expenditure for the development of the Enterprise version. This cost is determined through a discovery phase, which outlines the specifications and requirements. The price for this phase is fixed based on a quote provided by us, and it includes both the discovery and subsequent development phases.
Ongoing Maintenance Package: This is an annual fee that grants an Enterprise license to continue using SELF and includes upgrades and support throughout the year.
Usage-Based Pricing: SELF Enterprise offers upgradeable options based on usage. Depending on the configuration determined during the discovery phase, businesses can opt for additional features or increased usage limits.
For example Client X provides a package price to its customers, who may then retail this service to their users, potentially adding a margin. This model allows for flexibility and scalability, ensuring that businesses can tailor their use of SELF Enterprise to meet specific operational needs.
How does SELF Enterprise ensure a seamless user experience?
The Enterprise version of SELF ensures a seamless user experience by focusing on customisation and simplicity. The Client and User experience is primarily determined during the discovery phase, where the specific configuration of SELF is outlined based on the Client's needs. Our role is to provide guidance during this phase to ensure that the implementation of SELF simplifies rather than complicates the user experience. However, the exact nature of the user experience can only be guaranteed once the configuration details are finalised according to the company's specific requirements.
What unique advantages does SELF Enterprise offer that the use of other AI tools does not?
SELF offers unique advantages that set it apart from other AI tools. Firstly, SELF prioritises privacy. Unlike large language models that rely on vast data pools, SELF ensures that a Client's private data and their User's information remains secure and is not exposed to the web to be exploited. This makes SELF an ideal choice for Clients who value data privacy.
Secondly, SELF provides an unbiased and uncensored platform. Unlike other tools that may be influenced by advertiser bias or platform censorship, SELF delivers outcomes based solely on the Client's and User's preferences and reference points. This means that the information and interactions a Client and User receives is not swayed by external agendas, such as paid positioning or political pressures, which can affect the accessibility of certain content on other platforms.
Conclusion
The process for SELF Enterprise is designed to be straightforward and accessible, even for those without deep technical expertise. Companies do not need to be technology experts to benefit from SELF Enterprise. Instead, the focus is on understanding how to add the most value to the organisation and its customers.
During the Discovery phase, it is advantageous to approach the process with an open mind, free from preconceived notions about the best way to utilise SELF Enterprise. Starting with a blank slate allows for a focus on maximising value creation first, and then working backward to determine the technical architecture and integration methods. This approach ensures that the experience and business value remain the top priorities, as technology is only beneficial when it adds real value to people - professionally and personally.
